Lower School thoroughly enjoyed a visit from residents of Cedar Court today. Doreen, Dennis, Harry and Ruth delighted them with some wonderful tales about their school days and the children asked a barrage of questions!

Doreen enjoyed school but was sad that her best friend was killed in the war; Harry went to the village school in Cranleigh (now the Arts Centre) and brought along his school reports, showing excellence in mathematics and woodworking; Dennis (94 tomorrow) had been to four different schools as he had won scholarships but had been in a lot of trouble for running away from one that he didn’t like! … and Ruth played tennis and swam for  her school teams and really enjoyed Geography.

We look forward to meeting them all again when Form 3 visit Cedar Court for the King’s Shilling event in June.
