Cranleigh Prep U10 & U11 pupils returned with a hat trick of trophies from the Guildford District Swimming Championships, held at Guildford Spectrum on Saturday.

Ten schools took part in the Primary category (U11s), including Cranleigh Prep,  St. Catherine’s, St. Hillarys, Guildford High School, Tormead, Holy Trinity, Ripley Court, Cranmore, Lanesborough and Boxgrove.

The U10 boys came joint 1st with Lanesborough, the U11 boys also won their category and the U11 girls came 2nd.  As a result, Cranleigh Prep went on to win the overall schools’ shield, with Holy Trinity coming 2nd, Ripley Court 3rd and Boxgrove 4th.

Last night, our swimmers beat Feltonfleet 127 v 112, therefore remaining unbeaten in all school fixtures so far this season.

Director of Swimming, Will Philpot, says “this has been a fantastic year and I have high hopes for our swimmers in their final school fixture of the season in March.   We will also look forward to hearing how many of our 21 pupils who have competed in the preliminary IAPS rounds will be selected to swim at the IAPS finals in May.”
