Form 3 enjoyed a trip to Hampton Court on Monday. They were treated to an informative workshop entitled ‘Upstairs, Downstairs’, where they learned a great deal about the life of a servant in contrast to the life of a courtier, concluding that you were a lot less likely to get your head chopped off if you were below stairs!
In addition, the children were able to explore the Tudor section of the palace and gardens, noting the stunning brickwork of the chimneys and burnt brick patterns in the walls. A great day- enjoyed by all.
