CPS Sports Dinner 2016_30338On Saturday evening all pupils who have represented CPS at 1st team level this year celebrated the different sports they have played here, over a delicious dinner, with their parents and the staff who coached them.  The dining room had been beautifully laid out, the atmosphere was fantastic and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to mix in a social and relaxed environment.

We heard some excellent speeches from the captains of each sport at different stages of the evening. James P entertained us with a summary of the rugby season and Ollie W reported on this year’s hockey successes. Heather A (hockey), Sadhbh S (netball) and Eliza J (rounders) summarised the girls’ sport throughout the year, with an excellent slide show, Ruairi J’s dry wit shone through in his presentation on the cricket and Sam T and Will W, joint captains, rounded off the boys’ sports with a very entertaining speech about the football season.

A very big thank you must go to Carol Warner and her team for treating us all to such a superb dinner and to Jude Marriott and Harry Thomas for all their help with the pupils’ very entertaining speeches.  Finally, and most importantly, an enormous thank you to Alison Jolly for co-ordinating and organising the whole event – it was a perfect way to celebrate the outstanding individual and team successes achieved by CPS pupils on the sports field this year.
