Heather, Form 6, completed the cancer race for life with family and friends over the weekend.  Although they do this every year, this time they were specifically raising funds and awareness of teenage cancer as Heather’s cousin, Jake Andrews (currently at Cranleigh Senior School), is going through his own battle with cancer.

Despite being in the middle of intensive chemo at the moment, Jake and three friends are embarking on a sky dive, jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet, to raise awareness and money for ‘Teenage Cancer Trust’.  The charity have offered him and other teens huge support whilst coming to terms with such a daunting diagnosis, with 81% of their funds going directly towards helping 13-25 year olds across the UK.

Heather’s mother says “As you can imagine, we are extremely proud of Jake as a family and would like to make his dream of raising £5000 for his jump come true.  If you would like to support Jake, please follow the link below to his Just Giving page.”
