The BBC Radio 2 ‘500 Words’ is now one of the most successful story-writing competitions for children in the world. Nearly half a million pupils have submitted stories to the competition; that’s over 215 MILLION words!

This year, over 123,400 entries were submitted and these have now been whittled down to a long-list of 4,500 entries, which will now go to the Reading Agency to be short-listed.  Shortly before the Easter holidays, some of our pupils submitted their own entries to the competition.  We are delighted to congratulate the following eight Cranleigh Prep pupils, who have been have been selected for this next round of judging: Annabel P, Lara P, Henry R, Maddie W, Ambrose W, Bradley B, Will O’C and Fraser A.

Good luck in the next round of this exciting competition!
