Last weekend 13 CPS pupils took part in the British School Modern Biathlon Championships at Crystal Palace, London.   Whilst some of the finalists sharpened their elbows and jostled their way around the iconic Crystal Palace 400m, 4  lane Athletic Stadium track, their other team mates were warming up on the poolside for their turn in the world famous 50m 8 lane swimming pool.

It was a very early start on both days for the team.  However, after all their dedicated training this term, they came home with some excellent results:

In the U10’s  category, James M was placed 39th overall out of a class of 89 boys.  Isla A came 25th out of 104 girls in her swimming category and Charlotte B came 43rd in her 800m run.

Sam S (U11) and Jessica S (U12) both came 19th overall in classes of over 154 children.

All the squad finished in the top 100 national places in the country, which is a superb achievement.  Many congratulations to them all.
