"The school provides a safe, healthy and happy environment in which pupils thrive"
Independent School Inspectorate 2006

There are approximately 220 day pupils (mostly Lower School pupils) and up to 80 boarders (mostly Upper School pupils) in school at any one time. The school accommodates full, weekly and flexi boarding options where permitting, occasional overnight boarders, and there is no obvious differentiation between those boarding and those going home at the end of the day. The outcome - a hugely positive and involved school community.

Weekend School
Weekend school is on alternate weekends, and so every second weekend the boarders can elect to go home after Saturday fixtures
or stay in for the rest of the weekend. Many do stay in, although they
do not in reality ‘stay in’! Saturday evening can take in a visit to the cinema or ice-skating, whilst on Sunday after Chapel it is often off in the school’s mini-buses with a packed lunch to take part in something physical, such as mountain biking or orienteering, or cultural with a
visit to any number of museums, galleries or attractions stretching from London to the south coast.
