Boarding at CPS is evolving to fulfil the needs and aspirations of today's families. Full time and new, part time, boarding opportunities, incorporating all the qualities of community and integration, enable every child from the age of nine to be involved in the busy life of the school.
Whether it's boarding full-time, or choosing to stay over on particular evenings or for particular weeks, each pupil can take advantage of every available minute and still recharge their batteries at home each weekend. Flexible arrangements for children also means more flexibility for parents - for busy working couples, for those who can't always maintain a daily school run or who travel extensively, or who just need to take a week off.

The frustrations of arranging drop-off and pick-up, accommodating extra-curricular choices, supervising prep and helping with academic work - all simply melt away within Cranleigh Prep's boarding environment.

Everything is taken care of. Our pastoral team, led by the Housemaster and Housemistress, is made up of truly committed individuals with masses of experience and bags of energy, who together offer a wonderful blend of leadership, fun and frolics

The Boarding Houses provide a safe, comfortable and homely environment, where independence is supported, trust and camaraderie are actively promoted, and children flourish.

We encourage each pupil to use the extra time and opportunities presented through boarding to pursue personal excellence. So whether the goal is an academic scholarship, or reducing a golf handicap, or riding for the school team at Hickstead, or qualifying in rock climbing - boarding will support your child and unlock their potential.
